Maddie Wilson’s soulful country-crossover style wins new fans wherever she performs, whether a high-energy live concert or a one-of-a-kind music video. After just a song or two, you’ll understand why the Nashville Songwriters Association International recently named Maddie “one to watch.”
From the beginning, Maddie’s talents have turned heads. Two of the tracks from Maddie’s 2012 self-titled EP hit number one on the Indie Country Charts and Maddie was named the #1 international indie artist that year by CMG Global Radio. In 2014, Maddie won “Best Artist Under 18” at the Utah Music Awards, an especially meaningful honor since she hails from Provo.
Maddie’s 2015 release, “Lightning Strikes,” mixed her distinctly country sensibility with elements of alternative rock, pop and soul. Like her debut EP, the album includes only tracks Maddie wrote or co-wrote. The album’s breakout single “Echo” earned her a place as a finalist in the 2015 USA Songwriting competition. Her writing talents also earned her a place as a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.
Maddie’s recent single, “Love Like Theirs,” debuted in November 2016. Since it’s release, “Love Like Theirs” has climbed to #14 on iTunes’ New Country charts and has peaked at #65 on Music Row’s Country Breakout chart, where it charted for 12 weeks. The single has reached over 1.5 million views on her social media channels. “Love Like Theirs” is also featured on Maddie’s latest album, “Keep Up With Me”, released April 2017. Since it’s release, “Keep Up With Me” has reached #28 on the iTunes New Country charts and #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers – Mountain Region chart.
An experienced live performer, Maddie has shared the stage with artists including Chris Young, Lonestar, Imagine Dragons, Danielle Bradbery and Lindsey Stirling. She has also created a thriving online fan base through her YouTube channel, where she is known for covers of pop music with a country flair, and her warm and active social media presence. You may have heard Maddie’s music on Spotify, Pandora, satellite and traditional radio, or in a television appearance.
